For $10, you get skate rental and admission to open skate (up to a $20 value) at the Channel Islands Ice Center, located off Highway 101 in Oxnard. A nonprofit operation, Channel Islands Ice Center offers a cool retreat for skaters of all ages and experience levels.

Currently, open skate times are scheduled in the afternoon, seven days a week, and in the evening on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. There’s no need to reserve a time-simply show up, lace up, and cut a rug into icicles.
